On the rare and occasional instance, a dog licence owner may request a copy of all of their data (aka a subject access request or SAR).
While POODL does not currently have an automated way of exporting user data, the process of providing them with their data is very straightforward:
- Simply navigate to the licence owner (using quick search or the licence list)
- Once you are on the licence page, open up a blank Word doc, Google doc or email.
- Copy/paste all of the data on the licence list over to your document.
- Once you have copied all of the data over, simply send the document/email to the dog owner.

This may be a little tedious and take 5-10 minutes to complete. However, SAR’s are very rare and will only need to be carried out once or twice per year.
IMPORTANT: In the instance of a SAR, it is a legal requirement that you provide them with ALL data that is held. This means that you will have to provide them with the dog data and licence history as well. When copying the licence history, you only need to provide information in the Activity Description column.
No other data is held on licence owners in the system. There is no archived or stored data other than what you see in the licence view.
